Stargazer questions

Am I doing something wrong or just bad luck? lol. So I'm new to lilies but have experience with a lot of other plants. Last year I had bought stargazer bulbs around this time, btw zone 9 if that helps. One had already sprouted several inches, so I assume the bulbs had been there a while and few looked like they were about to sprout so I planted them as well. I planted the bulbs a few inches deep in containers and watered once I felt the soil was dry. The soil is fast draining so it doesn't hold moisture too long, but I never let them stay dry long either.

The one that sprouted lingered a while. The leaves never greened up, nor did they ever get any larger. They just stayed this pink-ish color. However, it did grow a few new leaves. At this point it was several inches tall. I figured the coloration was do to lack of sunlight while it was in the store so I had slowly introduced it to sunlight hoping it would recover. Regardless of my efforts, it died one day when temps were pretty warm in the 90f's. The bottom part had died and it bent over killing the top.

By this time none of the others had sprouted but I waited. At summers end I checked the bulbs out of curiosity. Most actually didn't look that good, either rotting or dry appearing dead compared to their original state even though I had irrigated them every now and then. I threw the rotting ones away and left the others alone. I didn't think any would actually sprout. By Feburary I was planning on using the soil for something else but was shocked to find one had sprouted lol.

The container was an older one and started to break so I transplanted it in a much larger container. It must have went into transplant shock since it didn't do much for a few weeks as well as cooler weather came and stayed a while. The new leaves are much smaller than the older ones, but are getting larger. And I think while it was in shock it may gotten botrytis or some other fungal disease. One of the older leaves has a couple of small brown spots. Should I cut off the leaf even though its actually one of the stronger more robust leaves? Two of the others (older ones) have longer but slightly thinner stems, one completely bent and died while the other is crooked but not damaged yet (not sure if its fungal related or do to strong winds). I have been periodically spraying the leaves with hydrogen peroxide to try and stop the spread of the fungus.

So what are the chances it still blooms this year? And what can I expect of its performance in my zone, I hear they like colder zones and we hardly get any frost. Thanks for any help and advice in advance!
