Hi all.

Spotted a beautiful Common Violet growing in the front yard today, and I decided to put it in pot with some moss. I've been trying to find some information on growing these in containers, but it appears that this is a very uncommon way to grow this particular violet, so much so that I haven't turned anything up yet.

My question is has anyone successfully grown Viola Soroia in containers, and if so, where you able to keep it in bloom for most of the spring/summer? Also, how did you overwinter the plant?
