Check out Brother Stefan for high rugosity. It starts pretty early so you don't have to wait for it to mature to see it. Sorry no good pic to show you.

I've got a soft spot for Smokey Bear, corrugated and the edges have a bit of wave, so it has an unruly look. It hasn't unfurled yet, so no photo. And I'm still kicking myself for not buying Crossword Puzzle at the convention in Dubuque. It's a medium-large, very corrugated gold. As far as I know Jim's Hostas is the only place you can get it.

I saw a pic of a Rick Goodenough hosta last night on Facebook called Rust Bucket a very crinkley gold, not sure if it is out on the market though. Manhattan another suggestion.

Black Hills would be much darker with more shade. This pic is from a couple of years ago.

While I was walking around surveying the hail damage and wishing I'd taken pictures of hostas -before- they had holes, I noticed Lakeside Prophecy Fullfilled. It's only medium sized, but has tons of texture. Hudson Bay and Lakeside Paisley Print were looking good, too. I'll try to get photos this weekend.

Can't say I'm happy about the holes and tears, but a friend a few miles away had his garden shredded. Most of mine still look good at a distance.

Koffman, check out 'Midnight Hour' in the Hosta Library. It's a blue, and some of the leaves are so bumpy they almost look like scales. It's also available for sale at the online store you are checking out : )

I like also puckered. have only few, but more is coming ;) Funny name: Aksarben. Hosta library says: it's Nebraska spelled back backwards.

H. 'Bumpity Bump': I know little about this hosta other than it is from Kathie Sisson's garden, and that it's pretty cool, with leaves about 8" long. It's in the library. Thought you might like to see this one.

I've come to love Faith, a medium gold, very puckered and unruly.

Koffman, I don't think I mentioned Deep Blue Sea on this thread, but I should have. Others were right to do so. It's awesome, too.

After careful consideration I whittled down my first order of Puckered/Corrugated Hostas to three. I ordered these from Jim's Hosta and will try and post pics when they arrive. They were.........Website, Clear Fork River Valley, and Deep Blue Sea.

I am considering (against my better nature) ordering an Iroquois Hosta from LOTG, since that's the only place I can find one, although the price tag is going to hurt.

Also, I may place a second order for Black Hills, Smokey Bear, and a few others later.

Nice choices. I like Clear Fork River Valley, although mine died back to almost nothing last spring and is now tiny. Still has corregation, though. Deep Blue Sea is a beauty! I almost ordered Aksarben, just because of the name, also Website, but had to stop somewhere. Settled on Mourning Dove, Crossword Puzzle, Wylde Green Cream and Five 'O Clock Somewhere. No common thread, just plants I saw in someone else's garden and coveted.

It finally stopped raining, and I got a photo of LS Prophecy Fulfilled today. We're heading home for Mother's Day, will have to edit and post later. Other things like getting plants in the ground and tiling a bedroom-turning-into-an-office have kept me away from the camera and computer. LSPF is unusually rugose this year. Maybe the two nights in the mid twentys had something to do with it. Several of the hostas are "rougher" than normal.

The first order of "Puckers" arrived today. Jim's Hosta did a great job. The plants were large and had roots that looked like baby arms. They even included a free gift of Hosta Dinner Mint. From left to Right.........

My fav is Thai Brass. Don't have a pic, but last year. It was 72inches acros IT is a gold that keeps its colour all summer. Will take a pic this year for sure.

Took an early inventory and it appears I lost Deep Blue Sea over the winter. It appears something got to it (Vole ?) and just ate the whole bulbous part of the root, leaving only the root arms. It was one of my favorites and healthiest looking Hosta from last year. I may buy another or get another puckered to replace.

koffman, I found those pictures on facebook and they were too beautiful not to show. Unfortunately I could find no one to sell them. They are from Don Rawson, maybe you can look them up. I would love to have that Gator Hide! I got Deep Pockets from a friend this spring and Leapin Lizard, but the are not so heavily corrugated as the ones above :-(

Drinking Gourd and Gentle Giant are both giant hostas and easily available, very puckered. Below is my GG. Is even more upright now. It's huge.
