Doubling up with dancing queen

This
is a personal favourite, dancing queen, bubbly, frothy, full of life and
energy.

It
is also a useful source of pollen for crosses where you want to introduce some
doubling to the flowers. Here are a few
of the results. The most productive seed
bearer is probably Bogota - it has given me a large variety of pinks and orange
and red doubles, sometimes intense, sometimes just a few extra twisted
petals. Here are some from this year, seeded
back in 2011:





This
year has seen a couple of new combinations too - this is cybister rose x
dancing queen

and
this is exotic star x dancing queen. The
first two individuals of this cross do not show any doubling, only the bold
striping of both parents.
