My husband couldn't believe I did that. Lol...I wanted that plant. I've been looking for Silver Queen and can't find it, and there's this neglected one just begging to be loved! She works at Olive Garden and got it as an employee of the month gift. Guess I'll be calling OG to see where their plants come from.

Welcome to my world! I have many times asked people for cuttings off of their plants after driving by, and I have never been turned down. I have also scored a lot of plants off of freecycle also. kudos for asking.

Nice!!! I have heard there is a pass-a-long tradition in the South, good to know hospitality and sharing are still alive & well! That's a real beauty Katrina.

I always have my eye out for different Sans now, really ANY Sans. This morning at HD I noticed they still have some Bantels left. I walked around to the other side of the table and a glimpse of yellow caught my eye. 2 Laurentii smushed way down in among some large peace lilies. I could kick myself for not looking better all the previous times I've gone. I took them to the register to see if they would mark them down. ($4.98 and $5.98). To my horror, the vendor marks plants like that down to $0 then throws them away! No sale! I'm sure the plants could've been brought back, but I wasn't paying full price for them. I asked a relative of mine to see if she could get them for me, so I may have them later today. I just can't believe they'd rather throw them away instead of making a couple bucks.

Yes NextO...Southern hospitality at its finest. Maybe if I stop in and say hello in a month or 2 she'll give me the rest of it. lol....
