Hi, I'm a container gardener who uses digital timers (Orbit)
to do drip irrigation to my plants. I
also back Kickstarter projects and one came up that seemed like it might be of
interest to others in the forum:

Its like a regular timer but you control it with your phone
(like the Nest). It also talks to a
weather database so it can tell when it's been raining or hotter than normal so
it automatically adjusts the watering.
Cool! Basically it doesn't get
made and shipped unless the project reaches it's goal so that's why I'm posting
