Astilbe Varieties

Would anyone know if there is a comprehensive list of Astilbe varieties - color, size, form, bloom time, etc. with pictures on the web? I've looked all over and can't seem to find anything except general information on a few varieties. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

The Internet is a great resource but it is not anywhere close to being a complete resource nor is the information always accurate, especially when it comes to plant images :-)) If you want detailed info about a particular plant genus, then seeking out a monograph dedicated to that genus is advised. And even then these tend not to be 100% complete as new varieties are being marketed continuously.

One you could consider is Astilbe: A Guide to the Identification of Cultivars and Common Species, published by the Lakeland Horticultural Society (available through Google books).

Otherwise this publication by the University of Vermont is more detailed with regards to various cultivars than about anything else I have found online.

hi-60. the site must have been down because I checked it on my laptop, desktop, and tablet and couldn't access. I kept getting the message that page not there. I just went there now and saw that it was up. Looks interesting. Thanks.
