We have wood floor in the entire house (exception in the bathroom where we have tile). I like to have the same floor throughout,,it loos cleaner and more cohesive

If you are doing all tile, why would you switch to another tile in the master bath? You have the perfect opportunity to work in the same material throughout (which offers a VERY high-end look) and yet you switch to something else in the master bath? This would be the odd part that you would have to explain...over and over again.

What are your reasons for switching to another tile for one room?

Yes, small spaces work best with just one flooring. I have all wood floors except for the bathroom floors are tile.

Agree that unified flooring is nice (although it's still quite common for people to have carpet in their bedrooms or tile in only their kitchens), but be sure you like it well enough to have everywhere -- e.g., a tile living room in a cold climate could be a bummer!

I love the same flooring throughout a home, and even more benefit to it in a smaller home, create unity and brings the whole space together, plus its makes for easier cleaning as you use the same product/material in the whole space! I did hardwood ever where but 3 1/2 bathrooms in my home, and then the whole walk out basement has a wood look alike tile everywhere, and again LOVE it! Also you can easily add area rugs to the a room to create an intimate space and warm things up.
