I don't think I've seen any in the past few years. I bought two in 2012--Bartzella has done well--I now have a nice plant. The one labeled Julia Rose started slow--this is the first year it has buds--I count six. I did buy four really cheap peonies from Aldi's last year--only one came up last year, but this spring I'm up to three small peonies out of the four.

I bought some of those boxed Itoh peony roots from Lowes in 2013. This is the first year I will have blooms from those plants. I was so excited to see the buds. Here are photos of the buds and one bud just opened in the past couple days. It's been raining so not looking its best. I didn't see any of the boxed peony roots last year at Lowes and haven't seen any this year.

I don't know the item #, sorry!!! I just saw it this Sunday in our local Home Depot. It's a 5 gallon potted plants with buds, looks very healthy. About $60

I just bought a stunning itoh "old rose dandy" from Home Depot! (They also had a ton of like-sized bartzellas.) It was $60 and so large I can't put my arms around it. Made me doubt my precious small root purchases which takes years to bloom.

I just bought 2 Itoh peonies from Home Depot, they were mark down to $29.99, it's a great buy. Anyone interested should go with it, check out your local Home Depot.

I second the box itohs from the big box stores. I bought a bartzella root last year and got my first bloom this week!

I'm very pleasantly surprised how enormous and "firm" the bloom is- we had a strong storm last night and it came through unscathed.

I think you may be right - mine DOES look exactly like a Cora Louise! Another case of wrong labels...luckily I bought it when I saw it, not for its type, so I'm not upset on this one. :)

It makes a very showy cut flower too. Wish the blooms last longer.
