Really gorgeous. I've thought of getting that one. Does it flower a lot? Any fragrance?

It is one of my favorites. No fragrance that I can tell, but the jasmine is in bloom and my whole yard smells like jasmine. Some of the largest blooms I have seen. I don't know how far away you are, but if you wanted cuttings of anything including 'Panda' and are in the area let me know. I have a good collection of batwing passifloras. I have extra plants of especially Edulis, Ligularis, Anastasia, and Mollissima. I would be happy to have plants to go to a good home.

Jasmine is always good :) I am in NE Jax area so pretty far lol. I am have started rooting some of my passies. I have Sunburst rooted right now. I also am rooting some of my Giant Pipevine and some nycanthes arbor trystis. Kinda waiting for some of the vines to get some more size on them before I take cuttings. Caterpillars attacked them pretty good last fall lol. I have a large yellow Edulis flavicarpa not sure which variety it is. I need to replace my purple one.

Feel free to email me if you are ever headed my way. I haven't tried rooting 'Panda,' I will try to get some going just in case. Both the Edulis I have are yellow. 'Sunburst' is pretty.

How does Molliissima do for you there? Does it fruit? I tried growing some from seed when I lived in Louisiana. They all died lol. I recently bought some more seeds but I havent planted them yet. I will be rooting caerulea, lav lady, belotti, ruby glow, and nigradenia soon. I am gonna try and find another Victoria. I had that one for years and it was such a great passie! It bloomed non stop and took the winters with ease. I really miss it. I might still have Victoria x seeds. How long do passiflora seeds stay viable?

These are the P. Mollissima tangling themselves up in Ligularis. I collected the seeds in Ecuador and did not expect much. I have never had any luck with Tacsonias. I never got any to grow past seedling. I had seeds from 4 different fruits and ended up with a pretty good germination rate and almost all the plants from the first batch I planted are 3 feet tall. I also did a seed trade and have Miniata, Setacea, and Morofolia seedlings.

As far as germination, I think the fresher the better, but I have gotten some older seeds from PSI seed bank and had the grow. My method of seed germination for this last batch was pretty unorthodox. I put the seeds in a bowl of warm water, the next day all the water was gone. My cat jumped up on the counter and drank all the water out of the bowlsI decided to soak the seeds for 2 extra days and then got busy at work so did not plant them until a week later. I had a good germination rate out of that disaster.

Sorry for all the posts, I have Constance Eliott that is easy to start and extra caerulea plants, I found fruit when I went to Croatia and brought back some seeds. I have a mix of Loefgrenii and Constance Eliott that is a beast and grows and flowers very well, sends out runners all over. Nothing seems to phase it. I hesitate to offer it because it has the potential here to be a pest. I did root an Oaklandia and Flying V. I thought maybe we were going to have a get together and started some of my more interesting plants. I have never had luck with Ruby Glow, it it so beautiful, I think I planted it in a bad spot in my yard. Maybe I can convince my husband to go back to the zoo in Jacksonville and we could do a trade in the future.

What area of FL do you live in. Must be Central? (Not sure what all part of Fl is 9b lol?) I do get down further south from time to time too. I've been meaning to make a trip down to Fairchild some time this summer, come to think of it. I also wanna go back down there again in the fall too this year when they have their Ramble sale.

Funny about your cat drinking the passie water. Hey you never know, maybe her saliva gave the seeds a little something to make them sprout faster LOL. That's something one of my cats would do :D I have soaked mine in orange and pineapple juice before after hearing that something acidic would speed germination. Seemed to have worked but the seeds were fresher than the ones I have now.

Your Mollissima seedlings look real healthy. Does your Flying V passie do well in FL? What other kinds of plants are you growing?

How cool, a bud on Nigradenia!!! I live in Lake Mary basically half way between Orlando and Daytona. Flying V does well. As far as passies I also have Holoserica, Citrina, Bogotensis, Sanguinolenta, Jeanette, Indigo Dreams, Betty Myles Young, Elegans, Buckey, Temptation, Warmlands, Laurifolia, vitifolia, Racemosa, plus the others I mentioned and various seedlings. I forgot I do have a purple Edulis, Black Knight. Other plants would be Jasmine, Bananas, 2 Mango Trees, and Orchids. Would love to see a picture of Nigradenia when it blooms.

You have some nice passies. I just got a venusta maybe I can get that to root soon. Is your laurifolia the same as venusta? I think they are supposed to be different but I have heard some people use them interchangeably lol. I used to have Jeanette it did really well here. I will definitely be posting nigradenia pics when it opens up. I grow all kinds of sub/tropicals, tons of brugmansia, epiphyllums, antique and newer roses, and lots of vines in general.

How do u keep the caterpillars from eating all your vines? I am gonna try and make lots of extra hardy types to move the caterpillars to this year to keep them off my 'good' varieties lol.

About Ruby Glow...i grow that one in a little bit of shade here. What I do is put the pot in an area where the sun just hits so the pot is in the shade and the plant grows out into the sun part of the day. It likes it that way for some reason and it likes to dry out a little between waterings. I find it to be really tender and really needs to be in a heated greenhouse for the winter in my zone. It doesnt like a lot of water during the winter and does not like to be right next to the heat source. So ya its definitely a bit of a Diva but once u find a spot where she is happy, her flowers are so worth it. It will get 20 ft or so furing the summer. I usually cut it back before sticking it in the gh for our 3 mos or so of winter.

Here is one of the Laurifolia I have. I think this is the variety referred to as Water Lemon. A Lutea snuck in the pot with IT. I also have Warmlands which looks like Phonecia and two others just labeled Laurifolia. Thanks for the tip on Ruby Glow. I might try that again. I have a big Constance Eliott, I move the caterpillars to that one. Nothing seems to phase it. I have Incarnata galore. I have some that naturally occur in my yard and then I "imported" some wild ones from a field. They seem to like those, too. Will be checking for pics of your Nigradenia.
