I can't tell if that bottom one is white or not. I don't know anything about grout. I like that top one a lot. I wonder what color it is. I found a few pics of white but not in kitchens so I can't tell if it would be too white:

Here are some grey. They look a little messier to me but I can't tell if I'm just being swayed by the picture. I do know that grey shows tiling imperfections more

kiko posted great pics: if u want to see more of the pattern, go with a shade of gray, if u want to see just a hint of pattern, go with white.

me personally, i would do a shade of light gray. first, i love your b/s pattern so i would want to see it. second, a shade of gray is easier to keep clean/hide dirt especially behind cooktop..

I think it looks nice as is, which means using the gray grout would retain the visible lines. Nice kitchen, and I love the windows!

Such a pretty space! I have medium grey grout with that size tile but traditional offset layout. I would say my grout looks very much like your space now but we have grey cabinets. I would go light in his space. The herringbone pattern will be beautiful with whatever you choose.

Island not withstanding - you have a very white kitchen. If you want a very white kitchen then use a grout the same colour as the tiles, if you want like some contrast or a little more definition go with the grey. I know which I would choose.

Your best bet is to pick a few grout colors you might like (make sure there is some variation light/dark) and make some sample boards and grout them. Be sure to let the grout dry at least a day as it lightens up as it dries. We ended up trying 5 different ones before we found what we liked, and it wasn't what we were expecting. We just did another backsplash, and our first choice on the grout was not the right one. I think a light gray would look nice.

I would personally prefer that the BS design disappear because there are too many angular lines already with the windows and the full wall of cabinet. Right now I see lines and lines and lines.

This way there's no competition for your eye landing.

The Sarah Richardson's grout works because the backsplash design complements the counter and doesn't generate a lot of competing lines.

Lovely kitchen! We are also in the process of installing a marble herringbone tile back splash in our new kitchen. I choose grout that would blend in, but our tile has quite a bit of variation in it and I wanted it to look less busy.

For your kitchen, I really like the Sarah Richardson's grout as I like the added dimension since everything from the countertop and above is white.
