Finding this a bit confusing, how come you've never watered since you got it? How long ago? I do see you cut it, I assume the bottom stem? I don't know what it means that you're treating it like a cutting.

If it were mine looking dehydrated like that, I'd consider trimming off the bottom stem & setting it in a cup of water to try & rehydrate.

If you cut the stem at the base,and it's just one large cutting now,push the stem into some moist medium in a container you plant to grow it in and place in a humidity dome or bag and supply some bottom heat and a bit of ventilation.Should re-root pretty quick!!

imontestella - yes, I cut the stem (that had the roots) so now it's it's just that...a stem (just like you would have a stem as a cutting to root)

I never watered it as the soil has never dried out. I've only had it about a month (in the house).

Thanks Denise. Good advise for next time as I already threw the root ball out. I soaked the entire cutting (plant) overnight with a little Superthrive and it already looks better today. I will pot it up, use rooting hormone and water with a diluted hydrogen peroxide/water and lastly use a vented humidity dome.

i read on another thread from a while ago that someone always does a hydrogen peroxide dunk with every succulent he receives. This is sounding like a great idea to me as I've lost plants recently from a local vendor within s week or two of receiving from what I believe can only be attributed to root rot. Who knows what these plants go through before we ever get them,

I've never heard of a peroxide dunk. What does that entail? Diluted peroxide? There was a time when I put a tablespoon of peroxide in my watering jug, but I can't see how peroxide on the leaves would have any positive effect. But then again, I'm open to new ideas...
