If you let us know what you need it for, we can better suggest what you might use as a replacement. Just an FYI but I have gardened all my life, I am a horticultural professional and I have never found a need to use greensand, ever. But not all gardening conditions are the same :-)

We live in Virginia Beach and we were using an Amish recipe for organic soil blocking mix. We would appreciate anything you can suggest since we can no longer find the greensand.

Both McDonald's Nursery and London Bridge Nursery carry Espoma products and Espoma sells greensand. You can also readily purchase it via mail order.

But whether or not you need those ingredients in your garden is often a different matter.

Get a professional soil test to determine what your soil needs and if greensand is one of those things.

A professional test will save you money in the long run.
