What you see in buds are the 'backs' of the petals. It's not unusual for some 'whites' to have pink petal backs -- or partly pink - or even red. But when the flowers open, mostly what you will see is the white inside surface. Not sure if that's what's happening here. Take another photo when the blooms are fully open.

I agree, did you keep the tags? Lowe's carry jungle Jack's compact plumerias and they come with the tag with the name of the variety.

I have 2 mini-whites and I love the flower quality. I use it to make leis for my friends kids, they are perfect size. It does have a pink underside. It's siblings are Divine and Thumbelina. I have them as well. Per my experience they are prolific bloomers and I love that they are compact.

2 buds opened...its definitely the Mini-white :o)...definitely deceiving with the pink outer buds lol...

Hi Laura!! Thanks! The variegated from you has a few leaves now :o), I just love it! It did lose all its leaves over the winter. Hopefully one day I'll see some buds...

Dave, I really thought the buds were going to be more pink due to the outer color but its definitely the correct label...I love that its suppose to be a slower growth habit, hopefully it will stay that way.
