Border for my kitchen to great room wood tile transition

I am in the process of building my forever home. My husband is our builder so design input is limited at best. His solution is dots for everything and I don't want dots. I am including the look I want behind my stove which is a travertine-look with emperador dark marble accent in the middle. I was trying to think of a way to incorporate the brown marble with the travertine floor. I thought a trim of emperador brown between the wood and travertine would look good. Should it be a straight piece or a mosaic? I am having a professional do the tile work but would like to make it as simple and inexpensive as possible. One photo is of my kitchen that shows the curved wood transition. Should I add accent pieces throughout? Should I create a border inside the kitchen or between wood and tile or should I just keep it simple with travertine and let the piece behind stove stand alone? Thank you for your help! I am tired of looking at images til the wee hours of the morning and from responses I have seen here. This group is amazing! The pieces of wood you see next to my wood floor is just to hold it or prevent damage or something and will be removed
