I have hoya sp. Ovalau Island. It came to me from Jakk (epiphytica nursery in thailand). It arrived healthy, but VERY dehydrated (it is a thin leafed hoya).

The leaves and flowers on that listing look identical to mine.

I would not buy a plant at that price off ebay. I would hold onto my money, place an order with Jakk at epiphytica.com, with a list of up to 13 plants. My small orders average around $190.00 for 13 plants, shipping and phytosanitary certificate included. Jakk runs a nursery, so I know his plants are healthy and that he conplies with all agricultural and import laws. His plants are also generous in size and he replaces or refunds.

Just be careful!

Thank you aurorawa. Just curious, have you ever ordered a hoya that has had active buds on it before? Did it drop the buds during or after shipping?

I realize there's no way to know how rough one shipping transit compared to another will be but like I said I'm curious. I have a pubicalyx coming to me from Florida that has young buds on a peduncle. Thanks again

I have ordered actively budding/blooming hoyas. It can go either way; many of mine arrived still in bud or blooming, others lost them in transit.
