I have always been an admirer of Asian culture, and after visiting Japan, Korea, HK, and Taiwan extensively the gardens were of particular interest.

Well since Japanese gardens are not tropical and I live in south Florida which made a bit of adaptation for tropical plants necessary.

Using lots of stone walkways, closely planted trees and raised gardens I made my best effort to get an Asian inspired garden space.

Believe it or not the movie Karate Kid was a real motivator for me as Mr. Mayagi (sp?) had a lovely garden in the middle of an industrial area.
