To repot?

I've had this Orchid for approximately 3 years now, and very aggressively cut the spikes down after it's first bloom. It hasn't rebloomed since, however it's grown lots of new leaves, (approx 5). I was going to repot it in 50/50 sphagnum moss and bark this month, but I've just noticed it's got 3 new nodes on it, one that I think is a new flower spike. Should I still repot? I've never repotted, and am a bit nervous it's getting too big for it's current pot. Any advice would be great! Emily

Don't repot yet. That's a new flower spike. The leaves look healthy, so whatever you're doing is working. The spike will take about 3 months to develop, and then you'll have a few months of pretty flowers ... just wait until that has passed to put it in a new pot.

Thank you!! I'm super excited to see the flowers I've forgotten what colour they are so it will be a sweet surprise :)

I love that! I rescued one from the trash a while back, it took two years to get better and bloom for me ... I was so excited to find out what color it was!

(Purple with some beautiful veining on the leaves, if you were curious, lol!)
