That is so sad. He did live a good long life, but I hate that cancer stole him away from his family even at such an advanced age. I can kinda picture him there in heaven, his hat on his head, teaching the angels how to do square foot gardening.

RIP His legacy will be with us.

I actually got started gardening about 5 years in a square foot gardening-inspired style because my cousin had a box in a community garden. She was a Mel fan so I read up. So my family & Mel were my garden inspiration for several years...til I also found you guys! Thanks Mel!
