Clematis in container with obelisk?

I was thinking of growing a clematis in a container but also with a mid-sized (maybe 4 foot high) obelisk. It will be on my patio, but not close to a wall.

How do I secure something like an obelisk (or trellis) to a container? The potting soil will be pretty loose and not provide much support on it's own, and so I worry about a clematis-covered support being blown over in high winds.

The containers I see don't really have holes or handles I can use to tie a support, and even if they did I'm not sure how effective it would be since the whole thing could be top-heavy.

Is there a simple and effective way to secure an obelisk to a pot? I am looking at the thin, relatively light wire-framed ones (but a bit heavier than tomato cages).

Thanks!
