The colors look wonderful together. Are you worried that you will tire of them? Using grey chairs would give a very different feel to the room. You have to decide if bright or calm is the atmosphere you want.

Is the room large? Wall color? What are you thinking for the rug? Curtains? Pillows? Artwork! That could easily be the biggest determinant. :)

Now that's out of the way, as a Libra, I'm soooo excited to see someone designing with color! If you go with the teal sofa/gold chair, it will be bright and fun and you could go crazy with the accessories. If you go with the teal sofa/grey chair, it will be a more sophisticated vibe. You could still use punches of color but I think you might find it more difficult to add in very much. If you are the type to get tired of the same color day in and day out, the teal might be a bigger problem than the gold. Another option, if you aren't completely sold on those particular chairs, would be to find different chairs that have a plainer style and could be easily recovered.

Again, the size and style of the space the furniture will be in will also affect how this color saturation reads, and will then influence what accessories, including coffee/end tables, etc., will "go" with your sofa/chairs.

Lampert sofa is bought, so we're set on that piece. Hope I won't have the same issues with the buttons! I love color & fun and don't worry that I will tire of it, but it's a bolder choice than many would take, so I think I was looking for some other opinions that it would look good! The room is 18 x 21 and we have not decided on anything else yet, so are going to be totally designing around the sofa and chairs. Probably cream walls. Grey rug? No idea yet about coffee table, lamps, curtains, pillow or artwork! I'm glad others think it looks good :)
