Bedroom update

Please help, I want to paint my bedroom in a ocean beach theme. Want a wet sand color carpet, with some ocean color walls. I am having real difficulty finding a paint color that brings out the light blue ocean color that I see in the pic. Any suggestions would be helpful. Should I do it that way or paint neutral and do ocean/beach accents.

I would select the paint color that you lean towards...do you want blue - then your accents, bedding, etc. should be neutral. If you use a color similar to the sand, then your accessories can be blue. If you aren't careful in using too intense or too much of a color, it could feel too themed. Below are some lovely color combinations for accessories and white or cream walls can be very serene.

If you painted all white and just did the blues as an accent then the photos etc would stand out more. Have you considered using white wash wood as an accent wall?

If you searched on say Benjamin Moore's website for ocean/beachy paint colors, you will be able to see lots of ideas, along with their names.
