My cactus club is having their show & sale this weekend. I have a Wittia (which is to my eyes the same thing as an Epiphyllum) that was budding up for the first time. This bud got massive and deep red, and I'm thinking, "hold on, bud! Wait to open for the show!" because as we all know, Epis are not by any means beautiful plants until they bloom...And you know what? It DID wait! Yesterday was setup day and it was just starting to open. I thought, well, maybe it will open, but maybe it'll take a few days. At any rate, just the bud is impressive. Today when I got there, it was open and OMG, it knocked my socks right off!!...
