I live in the same state as you Woodnative and I've never even had two species bloom, never mind at the same time!

vitorama I think we need to move to, or at least visit Thailand! Growing conditions seem like they must be ideal there, and new hybrids and variegates seem to pop up all over LOL! It has been a very cool Spring (after a warm period early on) and I am just barely starting to get my houseplants outside this year! I have had a couple of blooms over the last couple years, and a parva even produced seed but that was it!

We better live in Thailand because if we visit, there isn't an airplane large enough to bring home the plants we would buy! Lol!

I was just mentioning to Russ how crazy cold and rainy this spring has been. What's up with that?? I have had some of my Sans out for a few weeks now and they are doing remarkably well despite the weather. Definitely no flowering going on though. Sigh.

You guys have been putting your plants out already? I'm in central Jersey and we had 37 degrees the other night. I had put out some aloe but cover them at night and they are on my front porch.

Yeah, I put out my plants in hopes of some signs of spring but to no avail. All my Sans endured that cold night you speak of, all the rain and all the other yuck weather we've been having. I'm in northern NJ so I'm probably even colder than you akrrm!

Gosh, here I am dragging in all my Sans if it's under 55! Maybe I should just chill (pun intended).

The only one that suffered immediately NextO was golden Hahnii, which I brought back inside. Everything else is out and looks good.

I have one itty bitty Golden Hahnii and frankly, I'm not enjoying the extra care it demands. I do believe I'll steer clear of variegated Sans in the future - I like my Sans rough & tough. I'm glad to hear your report on how yours have breezed through vitorama. We are unseasonably cool here (60/70 & cloudy) for L.A. and had a chance of rain (not) and I left them all outside except for GH and a few other new little ones (namely Silver Blue). I put them out for rays under shade cloth during the day and tuck them inside in the evening.

Oh my gosh NextO! My Silver Blue burned and a leaf curled on my western exposure sun porch! Be careful with that plant. I've learned bright sun is not necessary to grow it well.

Good to know! Maybe I'll just leave it in the house, in case the shade cloth isn't shady enough. Thank you!
