Prevention :-) Seriously, avoiding the problem in the first place is the best method of control, as any "treatments" will be mostly ineffectual.

Look for and plant resistant varieties.

Space the plants properly to avoid overcrowding.

Avoid planting in the same place in successive years (practice crop rotation).

Avoid any overhead watering.

Cull out and remove any affected plants - the disease is extremely easily transferred.

Apply any fungicides preventatively - that is, before you see symptoms of the disease. Once the symptoms appear, it is too late to save the plant. Organic approaches would include the product Actinovate, which uses the beneficial bacterium Streptomyces lydicus, or Serenade, which contains
Bacillus subtilis. Copper fungicides are also acceptable organic controls
