I have a Kohler Whitehaven apron sink and the drain is offset. Honestly there's not much of a difference practically when you have a grate on top like I do. The only thing that is easier is using the spray nozzle to get all the food bits down. Having the drain in the corner helps corral the food, if that makes sense.
