Ooooooooh no. Better start exterminating the crickets. They're after crickets and when those are gone, the scorpions go too.

Those are the bark scorpions. Supposedly the 3rd most deadly in the world, and surprisingly fast runners too. I see 2-3 a month from May to September inside and outside of my house and they haven't stung me yet *knocks on wood*. Whenever one of those rears it's head, my inside nature lover runs back to his corner and my "kill it with fire" side takes over. You can go hunting for them at like 9-10 PM with a black light if you think they're becoming a problem.

Yeh I have been spraying their food source crickets, rolly pollies, cockroaches etc. I do have one problem to deal with, I have 3 very weedy over grown backyards behind me and no one sprays just me( I have a very long yard). I know they are coming over the cement block wall. They give me the creeps

Yuck campv, I hate those things! Good luck with your eradication plan. Pesky neighbors can really be a problem. I figure *we* need at least 10 acres!!!!

Mary not only the scorpions "give me the creeps" but the neighbors as well. How do people live with a yard like that? Maybe when the critters end up IN their house they will do something.

I have a similar problem with a neighbor. What a mess their yard - and the pool - is. I went for a bike ride along the canal yesterday morning and, sad to say, more yards were unkempt than not.

We all have those neighbors. Mine harbor rats. Uuuuuggh!!! Not sure what you can do other than have a pro work on a good perimeter spray to try to keep the scorpions at bay. And put lots of sticky traps around.

OK, this is OT, but....I live in the NE and every time I am tempted to say, "why the heck do I live up here with weird weather, hurricanes, nor'easters, ticks, more ticks, lime disease, poison ivy, mosquitos that carry encephalitis, etc. " -- I am going to remember the above photo and shut up! EW! Those are creepy!!!!!

Yeh HB, they pretty much creep all of us out. But unlike your weird weather, hurricanes, nor'easters, ticks, more ticks, lime disease etc, these can be controlled. Spraying their food sources, keeping weeds down and keeping things cleaned up around the yard. Its too bad when people are just plain lazy and don't clean up their mess and have no consideration for others.
