I'm not quite sure how anyone can help and I know we have all been in this position, but maybe someone has some ideas. I have alder kitchen cabinets with clean coat on them (they are an amber tone), pine trim and natural hickory floors. I won't be painting any of the woodwork. I would like to put carrara marble backsplash in my kitchen with soapstone countertops. I am trying and trying to find a neutral color to paint (I have an open floor plan), but some of the colors turn too yellow to be near the marble since it is SOOO white and if they don't have a lot of yellow in it, it turns purple!! I am going crazy!!! Any ideas anyone? All of the colors I have tried are Benjamin Moore since that is what is near me. Thanks.
