Last night I found a packet of lunaria annua (aka, honesty) seeds that bought a year or so ago and then forgot about. I'm thinking of direct sowing them amongst my other plants and seeing what happens. I have an informal, cottage-style garden so I think aesthetic-wise it would fit in just fine. I've read, though, that some consider lunaria to be a weed because of its tendency to sow itself all over the place. Also, is it too late (or too early) to bother direct sowing them? I know they are biennials and I will only get the basal rosettes this year, with flowers next year.

Anyone have experience growing lunaria, especially from seed?
