Help Planning a Flower Garden

I have a kidney shaped bed that I'd like to plant predominantly with bulbs. Ease of maintenance is a big concern. I also have black walnut trees to contend with.

I've been contemplating this bed for a few years now and I think I've finally settled on trying bulbs. I've never grown bulbs before.

The bed is about 7ft long. About 3.5 ft at the widest part of the kidney and about 18" wide at the narrow end.

In the center of the "fat" end, there is currently a bird bath filled with potting soil and succulents. At the skinny tip is a Shirley Temple Peony. To date, I've seeded the bed with knee high wildflowers.

What I've planned so far is:
- in the ovals are layered bulbs for continuous flowering (crocus, grape hyacinth, daffodil, tulip, Allium, Lillies)

- in the ovals are Bleeding Hearts closest to the bird bath with Daylilies in front.

Does that look reasonable so far?

What I don't know what to do with is the "neck" of the kidney.

A few considerations:

- There isn't enough room to plant in front of the peony...and as the peony grows it will likely fill that entire tip (I think...novice here...I can extend the tip a bit if necessary)

- The space I need to fill is wedge shaped, about 3ft along the back curve and 2ft along the front curve

- I would love to plant wintergreen/teaberry somewhere in my garden (not necessarily this bed, but if it would work, that would be a bonus)

- Most of my garden is edible, and I have a young rhubarb plant that I need to find garden space for somewhere (not necessarily here)

- I was thinking about this bulb mix to fill space: https://www.veseys.com/ca/en/store/fallbulbs/wildflowers/wildflowerbulb

but it only blooms through late spring and then I'm not sure what to do...so even if I planted that whole area with these bulbs, I did still need something there to get me through the summer as the greenery from the bulbs dies back.

Appreciate any thoughts or ideas about my plans so far and what else I might be able to do with this space.
