Did i kill my clematis?

Hello, i planted a jackmanii clematis last year. Yesterday, I noticed there was a dandelion growing through its branches, and when I pulled the weed out, I accidentally pulled out the clematis branches. Do you think it can recover or should I replace it now?

If the root system is intact, it should come back just fine. Maybe not immediately - depending on the trauma, it may take some time for it to recover - but it should recover! Clematis are really much tougher vines than many assume. Jackmanii is a pretty vigorous and robustly growing selection so that is to your favor as well.
