Suggestion for accent color

I'm thinking to paint the top wall above my cabinets so the whole wall doesn't look white. The granite is Santa Cecilia light . Floor is espresso. I was thinking like a mocha color .

If you're interested you might take a look at the inside of your cabinet doors. Sometimes they're reversible and you might be able to turn them over to have plain fronts instead of arches on the doors. The other thing you could do is change the hinges to hidden hinges. If you're looking for things to do.

That will visually lower the ceiling and make the room much darker. Not a good idea. Add accents in thing like dish towels/vases/etc. Since your kitchen is white you have many possibilities. What colors do you use in your other rooms?

I think I might paint the cabinets a different color maybe gray or something like that everything looks ok just muted without a big pop of color anywhere.

I agree w the advise to NOT paint the wall above the cabinets a color other than the cabinet color. Maybe consider swapping just your upper cabinet fronts w glass inset doors and having the backs of your upper cabinets be a color.

yes, it is the cabinets that need painting, not the wall above them.

You are on the right path. I would suggest pulling the color from the granite,keep it on the warm side.

Another thing I would consider is changing out the light fixture at the curved window feature, this is a very nice feature if your kitchen and there is an old fixture there it appears.

Maybe a flexible led fixture to nicely frame this feature either that or a small fixture or even remove light and just add undercounted lighting instead.

Can you name the current wall color? I am thinking you may be satisfied to just paint the wall containing the door.

For the light above the sink, I was thinking about a pendant but I wasn't sure if I could put a pendant so close to the sink. Lowes has some nice glass pendants. I was thinking a dark brown or burgundy. Would a glass pendant about 9 inches coming down look ok?

yes nine inches seems fine....a lovely glass pendant would look beautiful without obscuring the window.
