About 5 yrs. ago we replaced all our windows except two in front of house. One, we wanted to do something nicer in front, & two, house faces north, so w/ coverings, LR & K dark. The small window is only one in K, & is in former breakfast nook, which we repurposed to pantry during K reno. Our new windows gather a lot more light while giving privacy. The exteriors originally had dark stained wood surrounds popular in SoCal in early '70's. About 10 yrs. ago I painted them same color as new surrounds. The hutch has since been completed, so no more visible wires, & TV now on swivel mount. Custom mahogany windows by 21st Century D & W, art glass by Celinder Glass Design.
