How many vertical inches of mounting area is required? For example the sun-setter requires 8" of vertical space to mount, I have only 6" above my patio. Thanks

Thank you for your questions. We recommend 10 vertical inches of clear space for mounting Advaning awnings. You can mount Advaning awnings to your exterior wall, or soffit if wall doesn't give you enough clear space. All Advaning awnings can be mounted to wall, soffit and roof. Both wall/soffit mounting brackets and mounting hardware are included with this awning model. We currently do not carry roof brackets. Please kindly consult a professional installer for roof-mounting hardware and installation. Thank you.
