In all honesty, I think you are looking for something that's currently unavailable. Most if not all pink Clematis have more blue tones than the pinks of either lilies or daylilies, both of which tend toward slightly more orange pinks usually, and the shortest pink I can think of that's commonly found is Piilu. It's a type 2 prune and gets to around 6', but mine generally starts from the ground each year since winter hard prunes it, so while you might lose the double flowers by hard pruning, you won't eliminate flowers; they will just be single and a bit later on new wood.

Check out Avant-Garde 'Evipou0033' as well. Though it is supposed to get to 6'-10', it's not gotten larger than about 5'-6' in my garden. It is a combination of red and pink, but I think will still be too blue for what you want.

Thanks! Not being a collector, I don't know what is out there. Neither the lilies nor the daylilies have peachy tones. I know what you mean, though, because I have such in other beds.

Mostly, I would prefer a pink that came off as clear pink, rather than pale purple. A stand-out color.

Abilene. It's a new variety, I think. I bought one this spring -- pure pink, no lavender, big flower. And it's a short plant. It's a Group 2, though.

I don't know yet how mine will perform in the long term, but it's a very nice flower.
