I would really like it in an area where a walnut tree died about 1-1/2 year ago. It was a big walnut tree. I see the grass is just beginning to recover. I guess I could do the redbud there and put the chaste somewhere else.

Or you could take your chances and plant it there and watch it carefully and dig it and transplant it immediately if it starts showing signs of walnut wilt.

That's very true. The toxins don't work too quickly. These are transplants, tho, and currently a bit weak. Perhaps I'll try a healthy start next year.

Bon, you could probably put the baby one there. Replace the soil around it. By the time the roots got deep enough, everything should be good.
