Question about my bean leaf color

I have converted over to mostly food-grade stock tanks to grow my
veggies this year. I'm 66 and the ground kept getting too far away!
:) Anyhow......here is a pic of my Romano bush beans. I guess I
didn't realize how light the first leaves were until the second leaves
showed up. Any ideas why this happened and is it a bad sign? Thanks.

The lighter color of the first leaves is normal. The darker color of the first true leaf shows that your seedlings are healthy. Just out of curiosity, how far apart are those plants?

Thanks zeedman. I have never noticed this before. The first lighter leaves are bigger than usual. They are planted pretty close together......about 4-5".
