Too late for tea

It's raining, raining, raining. And I'm not even close to Texas. By the time I can mow I'll have to mow everything I did have done over again. There isn't enough time between down pours for the tall grass to dry. I'm also pretty sure the strawberries are ready.

It's never too late for tea. We are here 24/7.

Today I spent the day with my husband, working on details for a bathroom renovation.

I had my tea at a diner along with a chicken salad sandwich. Our weather here in the Northeast was sunny and in the 80's.

Oooooooooh! Bathroom renovation! When I did mine I said, I don't care what you do but when you leave here there had better be a walk in shower in there! There was.

I had my tea at a Mexican restaurant at lunch. I am so jealous!! I would love a bathroom renovation! My house was built in 1942 and still has the original bathtub and the years have not been kind. I really could use a lottery win right about now!! Congratulations on your future project, eld!!

Haha, thanks. The renovation is actually for our daughter. We are helping her renovate her new co-op. It's an apartment in a Art Dec era building and we're doing the bath vintage. We found marble like porcelain tiles and a white mosaic floor. We are going to refinish the bathtub and then get a shower door fitted.

She's getting a new kitchen too! This was definitely a "If you give a mouse a Cookie" project. It went from, "You can keep things things how they are in this cute little studio apartment!" to, "Well, we should really get the floor redone as they are uneven. And the rest is history!

Sorry I'm late. I have been busy all day and now have to go water all our plants on the front porch. I'll stop by later : )

Late to the tea party too. Busy here with chemo day. All went well. Just a very long day. Then things to take care of when we got home. I have downed about 4 tall glasses of iced tea since we have been home. Was very warm here today. After the nice cool weather the heat felt kind of shocking. I am also still moving water in the yard. Will have to finish up in the morning.

OHHHH Jay the swing sounds wonderful. The house we built was built right over the well. Joe beefed up the truss or?? to be able to install an eye hook up there to be able to pull the pump should that be needed. Trap door in the floor. So many people would look up and ask about that eye bolt in the ceiling. We developed many cray cray stories to tell them. LOVE it when long range plans finally come together.

I made some progress on the swing today. Yesterday was spent applying for a job- ONE job! They gave us a 2 hour psych evaluation test. Next up is an interview, and then a 'technical' test, to see if I actually know what I claim to. Applying for a job sure has changed since the last time I tried!

Anyhow, I got the swing mocked up, and it works beautifully. I need to trim the chains and give it a paint job, but at least it's comfortable. Brings back old memories! As Red Green would say, "If women don't find ya handsome, they should at least find ya handy!"
