Any tips on maintaining pumps while away. I have three connected ponds with a small stream ~5-6000 gallons with plants, a few koi and several goldfish. I have an external pump that is fed from a skimmer box with a leaf net and brushes, then a basket strainer before pump. Pump also feeds a skippy filter. Point being, either the leaf net, brushes, or strainer tend to get clogged up every few days and need to be cleaned out. Not a big deal when home. Any tips on how to keep things running when away for a couple weeks , aside from having someone come do it?
