White Dots on Jasmine?

Hi, I bought a jasmine plant today and notice that there are these white dots underneath each leaf and I am unsure of what it is. I
thought they might be mealy bugs but they look more like fluff. It
doesn't move when I tried to scrap it off. I don't know if it is part of
the plant or if something is wrong with it. Here are some photos. I couldn't get it to zoom
in that well, but hopefully someone knows what that it is. Thanks in advance.

Hmm...I've grown sambac jasmines for years (Jasminum sambac) and have never noticed the white dots. I checked my Belle of India and saw none and saw some things on my Mysore Mulli. I would treat them with insecticidal soap and see if that helps. Hopefully someone else will chime in. Good luck!

Nancy if the white dots are like Robert's jasmine they are normal. My jasmine leaves are that way too. However if they are white dots which you can scrape with your fingernail they could be whitefly eggs. Use some insecticide or neem oil. Hope it helps!
