I will have seed and leaves available in the autumn. Otherwise for now, I suggest Ebay for seeds, which are posted from time to time. And for leaves, I recommend Facebook for Gesneriad sales groups (including streps and African violets) where I know Terri Vicenzi, Kathy Algood, and others sell leaves. Alternatively you can make your own hybrid crosses and produce your own seed - but I hope you have a lot of room or are content to only plant a tiny few. The Gesneriad Society also has species seeds available to members.

I woud suggest joining the Gesneriad Society. First - you get a welcome seed package and How to Grow Gesneriads brochure. Second - you will have an access to seed fund where you can order hybrid and species seeds for $2 a pack.

There is an another source of seeds - brazilplants.com. A Brazilian plant enthusiast and conservator - Mauro Peixoto - raises some money for his one man Botanical garden by selling seeds from the species he maintains on his property.

You can get a lot of interesting plant material just by being a club member and attending the meetigs.
