We just bought our house back in February, when it was still winter and nothing was growing yet. Now that spring is well underway, we're discovering all kinds of wonderful plants that came with the house.

Apparently, the previous owners must've had johnny jump-ups somewhere in the yard, and the seeds must've gotten blown around or something, cuz our back patio is just riddled with them coming up between the cracks. Have a look:

With the exception of one plant in the first picture and two plants in the second, every last little green spot in each photo is a johnny jump-up. Most haven't bloomed yet, but some have, and many are just about to.

Needless to say, it makes walking on the patio next to impossible without stepping on a few. Seeing as how I love johnny jump-ups, and I hate stepping on any flower, I've decided to carefully pull each one up and transplant them to containers, where I hope they'll continue to grow and be happy.
