Stacking steam and wall oven different brands

Has anyone stacked a steam oven from one brand with single wall oven of another? I really want the wolf steam combi but not sure we want the headache of the wolf wall oven. There's a Miele floor model half off we can get but all the appliance sales people say I can't mix brands without compromising heavily on aesthetics

Can't think of a good place to separate them in our layout unless we put the single oven under cooktop (assuming it's even possible)

Personally I think it will look a little odd to mix, but you might eventually end up in that situation anyways if one of the ovens has to be replaced and you choose not to replace the one that is still working fine. I believe at least some Miele 30" ovens can be put under Miele cooktops but you'll want to read the installation documents closely for your specific need. At that point why not do a range?

Just curious, what do you like about the Wolf combi steam oven that's pushing you in that direction over the Miele combi steam oven?

We tested both out yesterday. The Wolf is more user friendly to us. We don't like the extra steps of setting steam level, temp and time each time with Miele. The time having to be set the biggest drawback for us because it shuts off once time expires and you have to reset everything. Prob not a big deal when you eventually store your favorites and figure things out but initially it seems to be a pain.

We also liked the smooth bottom of the wolf vs the grooves in the Miele. Smooth is obviously easier to clean and with the water staying on bottom vs going to the reservoir in Miele, it seems easier to clean. At least that's what we saw in our demo. The Pirch chef kinda steered us towards the Wolf too but of course you take everything they say with a grain of salt.

We might just wait for the new Wolf M series fan to come out. It's supposed to be this quarter and our install is probably another two months away.

Re: range, good point. We are doing a 4 burner induction paired with 2 gas module. I'm not sure if that configuration is available in a range but that defeats purpose of getting the discounted Miele wall oven :) I'll call to see if I can do wall oven under the cooktop.

Curious what you ended up doing? I am in this very dilemma now.

We ended up purchasing Wolf steam oven and the M series wall oven, the latest units in which I believe the chipping issue has been resolved. We haven't installed yet.
