Oh, and while sitting on the patio making my list I felt pain on my foot. I was holding my reading glasses in my left hand and the sun was shining through them like a magnifying glass burning my foot. Does that count as dumb things done in the garden?

We have several varieties of mayfly here in Oklahoma. I've seen March Browns, Sulphers and PMDs, just to name a few.

That eyeglass trick... yeah... spice of life. hahaha

I agree. We had mayflies very early this year...in about March or maybe even February. It was crazy how early some of them were, but it was relatively warm down here, so I wasn't totally surprised. I saw some a week or so ago, but the population here is not heavy like it was a few weeks ago. Now I'm seeing more damselflies and dragonflies.
