Hmmm. Is this indoors or out? Where do you live? If you have pictures of the damage done to the leaves that might help me look this up. Off the top of my head I am honestly not sure, but if I learned nothing else in college biology it is how to figure out what a living thing is called. A little more info would help me greatly. Oh, and this is happening during the day correct so that rules out nocturnal critters.

It is sitting outside. There has not been damage done to the leaves that are already on the plant. The new growth leaves were bitten off by something. Then the next day the chewed of the peduncle!

Hard to say exactly what it is with that info. Could be a squirrel, a bit too regular of chonping for me to think of bugs right ofd the bat. Keep an eye on it, if it continues maybe try to block the access of criitters or even bring it back indoors. Looks healthy and should bounce back I would think.

I had problems with rats chewing the leaves off one of my hoyas in the shade house. They ignored the hoya next to it! Anyway I moved the hoya. Problem solved.

If it has rooted, try to keep it dry. It really does better going bone dry between waterings.
