I just planted in my garden several Cobaea scandens plants that I'd started indoors. Just browsing on the internet, I came across one article just now (which I can't re-find) that mentions that its growth habit is primarily vertical and less so lateral. That would definitely be disappointing if that were the case as I have many long sections of chain-link fence for them to grow horizontally on. Have other people found the plant to have primarily a vertical growth habit?
