The flower almost looks like one of the chenopodium, but the foliage isn't quite right for those I know.

I'm sorry to say you do not have strawberries.

If you posted your photo on the Name that Plant forum here, someone could probably ID for you, but it's not strawberry.

You were conned. If you bought the seeds off Ebay or Amazon or someplace similar the sellers are notorious for "misrepresenting" what they're selling. They take your money and give you seeds for some random plant. Not every seller does but I wouldn't take the chance.

Most people start with plants when growing strawberries. Alpine strawberries, which have berries about the size of your pinky fingertip, are an exception to the rule as they usually started from seed. There are some varieties of larger fruited strawberries that one can grow from seed but it takes a while for the seeds to sprout and the little seedlings are delicate. If you want big berries then go with plants.

If you do decide to try again from seed then choose a reputable source. Swallow Tail Seeds has a decent selection.
