Do you "need" the cornice? Maybe a long rod with drapery panels. If you feel you need the cornice, make it more tailored looking, straight sides, Choose a fabric color not too different from the panels. The light & dark contrast just doesn't work.

Thank you! Yes perhaps no cornice. We open and close frequent but need the privacy- so have sheers and so traverse rod works window 135". Mabe a decorative rod? ?
