Nice! The first one looks like peony buds. Striped roses are so fun. Do you have that name, please?

Long winter? Your top striped one is great. I'd like the name too.

Wow!! Your yard is on rose steroids!!! Your neighbors must always be popping their heads over the fence to have a look! Gorgeous!

Wow, I live in Ontario and my roses never look like that! What have you been feeding them..lol. They are gorgeous. Please provide us with their names especially the red climber. I want one!

I also notice some type of pegging. What roses are good for pegging in your experience?

I'm wondering what the striped is, too. Variegata Di Bologna? Honorine de Brabant?

Sorry I was too lazy to type the names in. Variegata di Bologna is the 1st rose Cardinal de Richelieu is the purple one, the rest explorer roses zone 5...say no more....Brrrrrr...............The two red roses are Quadra and a Pickering choice Illusion...

They're all gorgeous and healthy. Your level is what I hope to get mine up to someday but I'm finding it not easy on the Oregon coast.

Thanks for the names. These are definitely 2 red roses on my list. I love the flower blooms on Illusion and Quadra. I chose Don Juan and it doesn't climb yet in my garden. It dies back and new canes comes up but not tall yet. Then again this is its second year. I also love Variegata di Bologna. I didn't realize we could grow bourbons up here. Where did you get this rose btw?

Just curious or being nosey..lol but do you share a fence on the back with one of your neighbour? It looks like your roses are spilling over your fence.

Peace I do share a fence at the back. I cut John Cabot back every spring and every year its over the top by the time he blooms. The canes are very stiff so it doesn't fall over the fence. Illusion is semi hardy. Its been planted now 10 yrs, up to 2 winters ago there was no dieback. But two super cold winters knocked it back. But we had a normal winter and its back and healthy. Quadra is rock solid hardy..

I was hoping to find Quadra this season but I don't see it at any of the nurseries I've been to. I guess there is always next year. I would love to grow bigger shrubs but none of mine has yet. However, I don't want a monster shrub either because I don't have too much space either. Or rather, I need to sacrifice my vegetable garden for it..lol.

Like I said before, it is really nice to see other gardeners in our cold country that is able to grow roses that beautiful. I am always envious of our southern neighbours or those that live in the West.
