Nice sem-mature trees for shade. Perfect for the plants.

Beautiful !!!

christine - Thanks for the compliment!..love these..easy & reliable..NOT like my endless summers

Those two are my favorite reliable bloomers. I also replaced my All Summer Duds -aka All Summer Beautys - with Bobos. Another reliable unfussy smaller hydrangea. Beautiful pics!

Mary G - thanks..I've read favorable comments about Bobos..be on the lookout for one..

Beautiful !
How old is your Annabelle ? Do you cut it to ground in the spring ?

I am new to gardening . I bought a small Annabelle and planted it few weeks a go. It starts to bloom nicely.

If I prune it hardly to the ground in the spring , will I have a larger bloom and taller bush ?

Thanks

Thanks Mary. I will probably try both methods of pruning (to ground vs 8''tall). I have been told that pruning to the ground would make blooms larger though less in numbers.

I've read that you can prune to the ground but I've never done it..these are maybe 8? yrs old..I clip the dead & an odd branch here & there & that's it..
